About the role
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and under the direction of nursing staff, the Hospital Assistant provides patient transport, support and assistance to clinical staff within the hospital and units, in meeting the needs of internal and external customers.
About you
- Recent acute care experience
- Have attained minimum Certificate III or IV (or equivalent) in health related subject in Australia or currently studying for an Undergraduate Nursing degree or Diploma
- Recent experience as an Extended Care Assistant or similar would be appropriate
- Willingness to help other and work as a team
- Time management and organisational skills
- Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders
- Has undertaken or willing to undertake Certificate in Basic Life Support
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
- Has undertaken or is willing to undertake Manual Handling training
- Holds a current First Aid certificate
