As a Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for processing clinical toxicology blood samples. The Laboratory Technician is expected to:
- Process specimens as outlined in specific manual.
- Coordinate with Senior staff to ensure timely processing of above specimens.
- Maintain accurate temperature logs for all Toxicology Freezers.
- Coordinate with courier for the collection of specimens as per requirements.
- Maintain adequate levels of laboratory kits as required.

Selection criteria
- Relevant Science, Pathology or Laboratory qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in biological laboratory techniques.
- Demonstrative accuracy in record keeping and data entry.
- Able to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated effective communication and organisational skills.
Employment details:
Salary Classification: Technical Officer - Grade 2, Year 1 - 4
Remuneration: $44.05 to $49.83 per hour + super + annual leave loading
