About the role

The Leisure & Activities Coordinator works closely with the Home Manager and Clinical Leadership team to plan, develop and deliver a range of individual and group activities for residents. This involves gaining a strong understanding of each resident’s identity, culture, beliefs, diversity and life experiences. The Coordinator ensures that every resident’s personal needs, preferences and goals are met, while fostering an environment where they feel supported, valued and treated with dignity and respect.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Glen Waverley facility.

 
Your main duties will include:
 
Excellence in Service Delivery
The role involves designing and delivering individual and group activity programs based on each resident’s interests, history and care needs. It requires close collaboration with the Clinical Leadership team, active involvement in care planning and family conferences, and ongoing communication with residents and families. The coordinator promotes resident wellbeing by fostering meaningful engagement, supporting socialisation, advocating for residents, and ensuring activity programs are clearly communicated and aligned with each resident’s abilities and preferences.

About You

  • Hold a Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health

  • Have an experience in leisure and lifestyle within the aged care sector

  • Possess the legal right to work in Australia

  • Hold a current First Aid certificate
