About the role
As part of the Leisure and Lifestyle team you will ensure the design, development and implementation of special programs to meet the needs of residents, helping to provide quality of life and enjoyment whilst in care.
As Leisure and Lifestyle Officer you will conduct programs to support the autonomy and independence of each resident, by creating a fun and relaxing environment.
Calvary Cessnock Retirement Community is located in the heart of Hunter Valley wine country.
What you bring
- Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activites for frail people with cognitive impairement and disabilities
- Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and interests of residents
- Strong communication skills
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
