About the Role
Calvary Health Care is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Loan Kit Coordinator to join the Central Sterilisation Services Department (CSSD) at Calvary Adelaide Hospital.
In this role, you will coordinate the receipt, tracking, preparation and dispatch of surgical loan kits and prosthetics to ensure all instrumentation is available and ready for procedures. Working closely with CSSD, theatre teams and external suppliers, you will play an important role in supporting safe and efficient perioperative services.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing surgical loan kits and prosthetics
- Ensure loan kits are received, tracked and prepared for CSSD processing
- Maintain accurate documentation and electronic tracking records
- Liaise with theatre staff, vendors and prosthetic representatives regarding surgical requirements and delivery timelines
- Identify and escalate missing, damaged or incomplete instrumentation
- Support compliance with AS5369:2023 and infection control standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Health – Sterilising Practice (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a CSSD environment
- Previous experience working with surgical loan kits
- Knowledge of sterilisation processes, surgical instrumentation and infection control standards
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Experience with electronic tracking systems and computer applications
