About the role:

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for providing both preventative and reactive maintenance of the Home to ensure a safe and well maintained living and working environment. The Maintenance Officer supports the Home Manager and/or Maintenance Manager to ensure the home and all equipment is maintained to ensure the individual needs, wishes and goals of each resident is met.
The Maintenance Officer is part of an integrated team of people working within an established and agreed framework supporting the resident to live their best life

What you bring:

  • Possess 2-3 years previous experience in a relevant trade industry.
  • Some prior experience in an aged care environment, with a working understanding of relevant Aged Care Accreditation Standards, compliance requirements, and Quality Improvement processes.
  • Good working knowledge of Fire and Emergency protocols, and regulations around essential services.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing contractors, including JSA's/SWMS, SLA’s, work orders.
  • A high level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to understand and use information technology and programs such as Word, Excel, etc. and to learn new systems as required.
