Calvary Riverina Hospital provides a range of services to the Riverina community. This includes our Surgicentre, Drug and Alcohol Centre as well as our maternity and women's health services.
Calvary Riverina offers a comprehensive private maternity service for the region. Our unit is continuing to develop and grow, making this an exciting time to join our midwifery team.
This position is Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to accommodate varying work hours when supporting new graduate and student midwives.

Deliver high‑quality clinical education, coaching, and competency assessment to support safe, contemporary midwifery practice.

Lead education and ongoing development for student midwives, new graduate midwives and the clinical midwifery team, tailored to a regional maternity service.

Collaborate with midwifery and medical teams to strengthen capability, support quality improvement, and embed evidence‑based care.

Provide hands‑on clinical support in the birthing, postnatal, and antenatal settings to enhance staff confidence and patient experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and Midwifery
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Relevant post graduate qualifications in education is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated the ability to effectively teach and preceptor nursing staff.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post graduate clinical experience in nursing/midwifery.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership qualities.
