About the role
The National Health Information Manager is a key leadership role within the Health Funds Team at Calvary National Office. The position is responsible for overseeing the centralised clinical coding, education and audit function across all Calvary private hospitals, as well as Calvary Bethlehem Public and Calvary Kogarah Public.
Your main duties will include:
- Lead, support, and develop Calvary’s centralised clinical coding team to ensure high-quality, timely coded data.
- Implement and oversee an internal coding audit program aimed at enhancing coding quality through ongoing education, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support and oversee clinical documentation education and training to improve accuracy and data capture at the point of care.
About you
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in clinical coding, health information, or hospital revenue operations, including at least 3 years in a national or multi-site leadership role.
- Proven experience managing remote, multidisciplinary teams in a complex hospital environment.
- Demonstrated experience in coding audits, CDI, medical records management, and workforce development.
- Understanding of private hospital funding
- Ability to travel as required
