About the Program

The Calvary OnePlus Graduate Nurse Transition Program (GNTP) is a national program designed to support graduates in building:

• Clinical knowledge
• Practical skills
• Professional behaviours for lifelong learning

Through structured support and reflection, the program enables graduates to make evidence-based decisions and develop confidence in practice.

This 12-month program provides experience across multiple clinical settings in a supportive environment.

What the Program Offers

• Structured transition program with 2 × 6-month rotations including:
• Medical
• Surgical
• Perioperative
• Mental Health
• 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week minimum)
• Dedicated New Graduate Coordinator
• Regular clinical supervision
• Opportunity to nominate preferred rotations

Important Dates

Mandatory Requirements

• Registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
• Valid work rights in Australia
• Must be a new graduate:
• No previous GNTP participation
• Less than 3 months employment as an enrolled nurse
• Availability to work minimum 32 hours/week

• ANSAT reports with Clinical Facilitator feedback

2. How do you ensure your practice is of the highest standard?
3. Describe a time you used communication and interpersonal skills to support a team

Additional Requirements

• Must hold or obtain AHPRA registration before program commencement
• Must have completed a Bachelor of Nursing within 12 months of start date
