About the role
Calvary Riverina has the exciting opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager (Level 2) to join our clinical leadership team as manager of our orthopaedic ward. This is a full time position working across business hours Monday - Friday.
Your main duties will include:
- Clinical leadership & patient care oversight, ensuring safe, high‑quality orthopaedic care while setting clinical standards and supervising nursing practice

Staff management & workforce planning including rostering, recruitment, performance management, education, and ensuring appropriate skill mix on the ward.

Management of ward flow (admissions, discharges, bed allocation), oversight of resources and budgets, and drive quality improvement, compliance, and patient safety initiatives.
About you
- Relevant tertiary allied health or nursing qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration
- A minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in public and/or private health sector
- Proven experience at senior management level and leadership of diverse interdisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement and accreditation standards
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary rehabilitation practice and programs
- Proven track record of managing key performance indicators within budget
- Proven experience in change management, facilitating a positive workplace culture and workforce engagement
