Occupational Therapist – Full-time Ongoing (Multiple positions)

  • Seeking HP2/3 Occupational Therapists with a minimum of two years community experience.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to join our multidisciplinary Allied Health team, specialising primarily in community care, with opportunities to work in acute care and rehabilitation services. We provide a high quality Occupational Therapy service across a range of specialities including servicing Support at Home program clients in the community who present with a variety of clinical conditions.

The successful applicant will be appointed to an ongoing position, working primarily in a community based role. The role is appointed at either an HP2 or 3 level depending on prior experience and demonstrated capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide client centred, safe, high quality, evidence based, goal oriented care
  • Work autonomously to deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for clients presenting with a diverse range of conditions.
  • Demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and the ability to manage a complex caseload.
  • Contribute to clinical leadership through clinical supervision, multidisciplinary collaboration and service development.

 What you bring  

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of two years community Occupational Therapy experience in the assessing and managing clients with a wide variety of conditions.
  • Experience in prescribing Assistive Technology and Home Modifications.
  • Transferrable skills to work in an acute hospital and/or rehabilitation setting.
  • Evidence based knowledge of a broad range of clinical conditions and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate effectively with clients, their significant others, multidisciplinary team members and external agencies to deliver integrated, high-quality healthcare outcomes.
  • Advanced organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and time effectively.
  • Current driver’s licence and flexibility to undertake travel within regional South Australia as required.
  • A desire to join a multi-disciplinary team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
