Occupational Therapist – Grade 2

NDIS Provider Service | Progressive Neurological Diseases
0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) | Fixed-term parental leave cover (12 months)
Location: Caulfield South, VIC

Calvary Health Care Bethlehem is seeking an experienced Grade 2 Occupational Therapist to join our NDIS Provider Service on a 12‑month fixed-term, part‑time basis, covering parental leave from 15 June 2026 to 15 June 2027.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a highly specialised multidisciplinary service supporting people living with progressive neurological diseases, including Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington’s Disease and atypical Parkinson’s disorders.

About the service

Calvary Health Care Bethlehem is an industry leader in multidisciplinary palliative and progressive neurological care, delivering services across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.

The NDIS Provider Service is a registered provider of:

  • Therapeutic supports
  • Assistive Technology and Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN)
  • Specialist Behaviour Support

Participants are supported primarily within the Melbourne metropolitan region.


About the role

As a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist, you will manage a caseload of participants with progressive neurological diseases, supporting them to live in line with their values, preferences and goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a community-based caseload of participants with complex needs
  • Completing home and community visits with participants, families, carers and support workers
  • Assessment and prescription of Assistive Technology (basic, complex and customised) and home modifications
  • Advocacy and report writing to support NDIS funding requests and reviews
  • Liaison with stakeholders including support coordinators, internal and external clinicians
  • Accurate time tracking, billing, documentation and participation in team meetings

About you

You are an established Grade 2 Occupational Therapist seeking a meaningful and clinically challenging role.

You will bring:

  • Experience working in the NDIS and/or community settings
  • Interest in working with people living with progressive neurological and life‑limiting conditions
  • Strong written communication and clinical report writing skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Confidence with home visiting and community-based service delivery

Essential requirements:

  • AHPRA registration and recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
  • Full Australian driver licence and willingness to travel daily
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Understanding of the NDIS funding framework

This role is best suited to an experienced Grade 2 clinician and is not suitable for new graduates or early career OTs.
