Palliative Medicine Specialist - Calvary Health Care Bethlehem, Caulfield
We are looking for a Palliative Medicine Specialist to join our team part time for a period of 10 months, providing leave cover for members of the medical team.
You will be working predominantly in a 32 bed inpatient palliative care unit as part of a diverse MDT and working alongside experienced Palliative Medicine and Neurology Consultants, supervising a team of junior doctors that includes a full-time advanced trainee registrar. This is a fixed term contract for a period of ten months, commencing April 2026.

- Participation in 2nd On Call Roster

About Calvary Health Care Bethlehem, Caulfield
Calvary Health Care Bethlehem (CHCB) is a 32-bed public hospital providing a range of inpatient, community and ambulatory services for palliative care and progressive neurological conditions. The Statewide Progressive Neurological Disease (PND) service at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem offers a range of multidisciplinary assessment and management services for people with a diagnosed PND and is recognised as leader in this area.
Calvary Health Care Bethlehem is part of Calvary Kooyong Precinct, which co-locates Calvary Health Care Bethlehem, Huntly Suites (a residential aged care facility) and Hyson Apartments (an independent living facility).
What you bring
- Eligibility for registration as a specialist in Australia (pending specialist registration considered)
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or the Australian Chapter of Palliative Medicine or equivalent (pending Fellowships considered)
- Demonstrated and on-going entitlement to work in Australia
- Employees must undergo a National Police Record Check and/or a Working With Children Check in accordance with the CHCB Policy
