About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive professional with a dual qualification in Personal Care Assistant (PCW) and Leisure & Lifestyle to join our team.
This unique role involves working closely with a dedicated group of residents within our Memory Support Unit, delivering high-quality personal care while also facilitating meaningful engagement and lifestyle activities that enhance wellbeing and quality of life.
The successful candidate will work 11:00am – 6:00pm, supporting residents through both care and activity-based interactions in a warm, person-centred environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
- Contribute to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation.
- Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the resident’s plan of care.
- Assist the residents with their personal care and hygiene needs whilst encouraging their independence
About you
- Certificate III in individual support, or equivalent recognised qualification and Cert III or Cert IV in Leisure & Health
- Ability to engage with residents and experience in dementia support
- Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
- Demonstrated flexibility, empathy and patience with the aged person and their needs
- Demonstrated ability to provide holistic care
- Demonstrated respect for residents’ privacy, dignity and self esteem
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
