As a Pharmacist (Grade 1 / 2) you will be responsible for the provision of high-quality pharmacy services to Calvary Mater Newcastle (CMN) staff, patients, and carers is in accordance with SHPA standards of practice. This role is responsible for promoting safe and appropriate medication usage to optimise patient outcomes and the provision of pharmaceutical services for the facility as directed.

Selection criteria

• Current registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).
• Recent demonstrated experience in hospital pharmacy (minimum of 3 years to be considered for a Grade 2 classification).
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build and maintain effective working relationships with a multidisciplinary team

Employment details

Salary Classification:  Pharmacist - Grade 1 (Yr 1-2), Pharmacist -Grade 2 (Yr 1-3)

Remuneration: $42.23 to $62.51 per hour + super + annual leave loading
