As the Clinical Pharmacist (Rotational) Grade 2 - 3 is responsible for the provision of a wide range of Pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients of the Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospital covering annual leave periods for CMN Pharmacists. Services include dispensing, distribution, manufacturing and clinical services to inpatient and outpatient areas to ensure the safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines

Selection criteria

• Eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to practice as a Pharmacist (without restrictions)
• A minimum of three years of practicing as a registered Hospital Pharmacist, with experience in a wide range of specialty practice including general medicine, surgery, cancer services, critical care and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff, patients and their carers.
• Demonstrated competence in clinical drug knowledge and experience in applying that knowledge appropriately to a wide range of clinical settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team as well as independently.
• Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and to supervise the activities of support staff.
• Proven capacity to organise a complex workload with advanced leadership skills.

Positions available: Permanent Part-Time (0.4fte)

Salary Classification: Grade 2 to Grade 3

Remuneration: $58.96 to $71.02 per hour + super + annual leave loading
