THE ROLE:
Seeking to contribute to meaningful advancements in cancer research? We are recruiting a motivated Pharmacy Technician (Investigational Medicines), Grade 3 to join our Clinical Trials Pharmacy Unit in a part‑time (0.6 FTE, three days per week) three-year position.
Opportunities to expand to 0.8 FTE and ongoing contract renewal as the service continues to grow.
Your main duties will include:
- Preparing and compounding investigational medicines, including sterile chemotherapy products, in accordance with clinical trial protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements.
- Managing investigational medicines throughout the clinical trial lifecycle, including dispensing, inventory management, storage, distribution, documentation and quality assurance.
- Supporting the delivery of cancer clinical trials by maintaining trial records, assisting with standard operating procedures, liaising with research staff and sponsors and ensuring compliance with study protocols.
ABOUT YOU:
- Pharmacy Technician Certificate IV (or equivalent).
- Experience with aseptic and cytotoxic compounding.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of GCP and clinical trial processes (desirable).
