About the role
This role is based at Kogarah and will provide leadership and management of Physiotherapy and the Day Rehabilitation Unit. It is a full time role and is well supported by the Calvary Health Care Kogarah Director of Allied Health and Non Admitted Care and the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Physiotherapy Profession Advisor. The role is permanent, full time, required on site Monday to Friday during standard business hours.
Your main duties will include:
- Provide effective operational management of Physiotherapy and the Day Rehabilitation Unit including recruitment, rostering, leave management, supervision, performance development.
- Ensure the ongoing improvement in evidence based clinical practice, quality activities, and policies and procedures including driving research.
- Balance resources, time and priorities to meet competing needs of patient/client groups and expectations and deal with high volume workloads while at the same time achieve positive outcomes
About you (more information in the position description)
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisation’ Professional and Associated Staff Agreement 2022, registration with AHPRA and eligible for Working with Children Check (WWCC), National Criminal Record Check (NCRC) and Aged Care Banning Order Check.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level guidance, leadership, and strategic management of staff, resources, and services, with a strong focus on building team capability within a performance management, outcome driven and fiscally responsible environment.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes while applying evidence-based practice to enhance clinical outcomes within their discipline including fostering a culture of continuous improvement
