About the role
As a member of the Calvary Home Care team, you will deliver quality services to meet the needs of our clients and contribute to a positive experience whilst at Calvary Home Care. Assist in planning, assessing and evaluating our clients' needs with the help of our multidisciplinary team, to promote positive health outcomes. The Registered Nurse provides clinical support to our clients and collaborates with our care managers and support workers to deliver exceptional care to our clients in the community. Our casual Registered Nurse will liaise with the Clinical Coordinator to coordinate care plans, monitor client progress, and ensure services are delivered safely and effectively in the community.
Key Responsibilities
• Practice autonomously in the community, demonstrating strong clinical decision-making and appropriate escalation pathways.
• Deliver high-level clinical care, including PEG management, catheter care, and wound management.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and refer to allied health professionals and case managers as appropriate.
• Provide routine health assessments for community clients and liaise with GPs and pharmacies as required.
About You
- AHPRA Registration and current First Aid Certificate
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People check
- Recent nursing/clinical experience in the last 5 years or evidence of a refresher course
- Current drivers licence
- Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Initiative and the desire to continually improve client care
- Capability to prioritise tasks and achieve goals within set timeframes
- Candidates with an understanding of the community nursing sector - Home Care Packages, Department of Veteran Affairs and Commonwealth Home Support Program will be considered favourably
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
