About the role
We are hiring enthusiastic and flexible Registered Nurses for our busy medical/surgical ward at Calvary Central Districts Hospital. The ward consists of medical and surgical patients, a 4 bed Higher Observation Unit, and 5 supportive care beds.
Providing direct patient care, in collaboration with the wider healthcare team, you will participate in the delivery of exceptional nursing care to our patients.
- Use a patient centered approach to patient assessment.
- Maintain continuity of care for each patient.
- Evaluate outcomes of care and initiate appropriate follow-up.
- Maintain a discharge plan for each patient from admission to discharge.
- Uphold the principles and practices of infection prevention and control.
- Ensuring familiarity in Emergency Procedures through annual updates.
- Maintain annual competencies
- Practice in accordance with Calvary policies and procedures
About you
- Registered Nurse with the AHPRA with minimum of 2 years acute experience
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated competence in surgical and medical nursing
- Passion for exceptional patient care
