We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory team at Calvary Bruce Private Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped private hospital, supporting a range of interventional and diagnostic cardiac procedures.
This part-time role (32–40 hours per week) offers a dynamic and rewarding environment, with exposure to both elective and urgent cardiac and vascular cases.
Key Responsibilities

A Cath Lab RN in this setting is typically responsible for:
Clinical Care
- Scrub, scout, or circulate during procedures
- Prepare patients pre-procedure and monitor post-procedure recovery
- Assist cardiologists during interventional and diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications and sedation as required
Patient Management
- Continuous cardiac monitoring (ECG, haemodynamics)
- Recognising and responding to clinical deterioration
- Providing patient education
Safety & Quality
- Maintain strict infection control and radiation safety practices
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with clinical protocols
- Participate in quality improvement and accreditation standards
What you bring
- Experience in Cath Lab, Coronary Care (CCU), or ICU (highly desirable)
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and acute care nursing
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- AHPRA Registration
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
