About you
The Graduate Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. This supportive program involves clinical rotations, attendance at study days and the completion of clinical competencies. The purpose is to consolidate your clinical knowledge and skills, and develop your overall confidence. This program is located at St Luke's Campus and St Vincent's Campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Practice in accordance with Calvary and Government Health policies and procedures, the position description, Code of Conduct, industrial agreements and NMBA Registered Nurse Standards for Practice, Code of Ethics for nurses, and Code of Professional conduct for nurses.
- Work in accordance with the mission and vision of Calvary and actively participate in developing a culture that promotes Calvary's values of healing, hospitality, stewardship and respect.
- Supports and respects team members, communicating effectively and demonstrating a commitment to the team.
- Consistently delivers high levels of patient service to effectively and safely assess, plan, and implement care.
- Accepts guidance and support from senior staff, preceptors and mentors.
What you bring
- Must hold or have the intention to complete a Bachelor of nursing Degree and be registered as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) by time of commencement.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
