Registered Nuse - Kogarah Hospital

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. The registered nurse assesses, plans implements and evaluates nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary team so as to achieve goals and health outcomes.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence- based nursing care to individuals, families and communities of all ages and backgrounds
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Lead and coordinated nursing and healthcare services across various care settings
  • Facilitate referrals and consultations with other health professionals and support services
  • Practice independently and within teams, maintaining accountability for care delivery
  • Delegate tasks appropriately, considering the education, training and role of enrolled nurses and healthcare workers

What you bring

  • Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
  • Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and experience in using an electronic patient record system
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse
