Registered Nurse, Level 2 - Calvary Clinic

  • Permanent, part time - 64 hours per fortnight
  • Work within a Mental Health unit providing patients with a calm and supportive environment providing comprehensive care to patients suffering a mental illness

About the role

This position is within our Calvary Clinic Mental Health Unit at St Luke's Campus. This is a 12 bed unit providing care for patients suffering from a mental health condition.

The Registered Nurse Level 2 is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. You will be supportive to our nursing staff and an important part of the management of the unit, supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager both in clinical and administrative support.

To be considered, you will be an experienced Mental Health Nurse with proven years’ experience in the chosen field.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supportive role to all staff within the unit
  • Advanced skills in relation to Mental Health and ability to incorporate into patient care.
  • Covering Clinical Manager positions when on leave, including all facets of day to day running of the hospital setting.

What you bring 

Essential:

  • Registered with AHPRA
  • Previous experience in psychiatric setting
  • CBT knowledge
  • Knowledge of ACHS and Mental Health National Standards
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
  • Basic Computer skills

Desirable:

  • Diploma of Mental Health
