About the role
Our Emergency Department (ED) team at Lenah Valley are looking for Registered Nurses with strong leadership skills and an interest in career progression to apply for a Level 2 Registered Nurse position.
Your main duties will include:
- Promotes and participates in team building and decision-making.
- Subscribes to personal / professional development and facilitates the personal / professional development of others
- Initiates and implements quality nursing care informed by best practice.
- Provides advanced clinical care to patients.
- Uses effective communication skills when interacting with patients, significant others and other health professionals. Acts as a client advocate, collaborating to achieve optimum health outcomes.
- Involved in department progression including quality initiative's
Emergency Department (ED) provides a service for people with illness or injury 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The ED treats approximately 11,000 people per year. It is a fast-paced and energetic environment and there are opportunities for staff to be involved in a variety of projects.
What you bring
- Current AHPRA Registration and relevant tertiary Nursing qualifications
- Working with Children check/ Working with Vulnerable People Check
- Emergency nursing experience including advanced clinical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and team orientated environment.
- Demonstrates effective leadership, mentoring and coaching skills
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving
- Intermediate computer skills
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
