Registered Nurse Level 2 PACU - Full Time position- John James Hospital - Deakin - ACT

About you
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. The Level 2 RN will assist the Nursing Unit Manager with the daily operational functions of the PACU by providing leadership and guidance to achieve agreed activity targets and promote positive patient outcomes
Key Responsibilities
- Development of clinical policies and procedures as well as involvement in relevant clinical auditing and change management initiatives
- Responsible for the professional development of self and others.
- Providing quality patient care using an evidence based approach
- Able to demonstrate competence in advanced nursing practice across critical care, leadership, education, safety and communication.
What you bring
- AHPRA Registration
- A Post Graduate Certificate or working towards one in Post Anaesthetic Care Nursing
- A minimum of 7 years post graduate experience with 5 of those years in PACU or ICU
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
