Registered Nurse

Permanent Fulltime and Part-time Roles Available – Minimum 0.3FTE

  • Looking for a ward where you will be supported, challenged and encouraged to grow?
  • Lynch Ward is recruiting Registered Nurses who want to provide excellent care, contribute ideas and be part of a team that genuinely looks out for one another

About Lynch Ward

We are a busy acute orthopaedic ward caring for patients following joint replacement, fractures, trauma and a range of other orthopaedic procedures. The work can be demanding, but you will not be expected to manage it alone.

We are not claiming to be a perfect ward. We are a team committed to learning, improving and making Lynch Ward a better place for patients and staff.

What you can expect

  • A supportive team and accessible ward leadership
  • Structured orientation and help to build confidence
  • Opportunities in preceptorship, quality improvement and leadership
  • Open communication and a culture where questions are encouraged
  • A workplace where people are expected to help their buddy

What We value

  • Safe, high-quality patient care
  • Teamwork, reliability and respectful communication
  • A willingness to ask for help and support others
  • Personal responsibility for learning and development
  • People who speak up with practical ideas and are willing to have a go

A Place to build your Nursing Career

You do not need to be the most senior nurse in the room to make a difference. Nurses on Lynch Ward are encouraged to develop clinical skills, support new staff, participate in improvement work and step into leadership opportunities when ready.

Recent areas of focus have included falls prevention, delirium care, staff wellbeing, communication and clinical practice improvement.

Who we are looking for

We would like to hear from Registered Nurses who:

  • Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care
  • Work well in a busy acute clinical environment
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully
  • Are willing to ask questions, learn and receive feedback
  • Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Take responsibility for their own professional development

New to orthopaedics?

Orthopaedic experience is desirable, but it is not essential. We are equally interested in nurses with the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.

Please submit a current CV and a brief cover letter telling us why you would like to join Lynch Ward by 4th October 2026
