About the role
The Home Detox Nurse works with local General Practitioners and clients in the community to support a safe medicated withdrawal from alcohol or other drugs. This is a 12-month Maternity leave contract for a Registered Nurse that has the follwoing experience;
Your main duties will include:
- Risk Assessment
- Care planning/case management
- Alcohol and Other Drug related education
- Relapse prevention planning
What you bring:
- Bachelor of Nursing
- AHPRA registration
- 2 years' post grad experience preferably in AOD or Mental Health
- Current driver's license
- Experience in AOD, mental Health care coordination and collaboration
- Knowledge of harm minimisation, relapse prevention and motivational interventions
