Fixed Term- Full Time Home Detox Nurse (Registered Nurse) 12 month contract

About the role
 
The Home Detox Nurse works with local General Practitioners and clients in the community to support a safe medicated withdrawal from alcohol or other drugs. This is a 12-month Maternity leave contract for a Registered Nurse that has the follwoing experience;
 
Your main duties will include:
  • Risk Assessment 
  • Care planning/case management
  • Alcohol and Other Drug related education
  • Relapse prevention planning 

What you bring:

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • AHPRA registration
  • 2 years' post grad experience preferably in AOD or Mental Health
  • Current driver's license
  • Experience in AOD, mental Health care coordination and collaboration
  • Knowledge of harm minimisation, relapse prevention and motivational interventions
