Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of comprehensive care to patients in our Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Ward, while supporting: Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in nursing, Medical staff and Allied Health. Giving direct care to a specific patient population within each unit. Using a patient centred approach to patient assessment. Maintaining continuity of care for each patient. Evaluating outcomes of care and initiating appropriate follow-up. To maintain a discharge plan for each patient from admission to discharge. To participate in the team leader role.

- Ensure that all documentation is accurate and completed in a professional and timely manner.
- AHPRA Registration
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
