About the role

As a member of the Calvary Community Home Care team based in the Hunter, you will deliver quality services to meet the needs of our clients and contribute to a positive experience whilst at Calvary Community Care. Assist in planning, assessing and evaluating our clients needs with the help of our multidisciplinary team, to promote positive health outcomes. The Registered Nurse provides clinical support to our clients and collaborates with our support workers to deliver exceptional care to our clients in the community. 

Key Responsibilities

• Work with clients, their carers, families and the wider community to achieve identified clinical goals
• Develop professional practice in accordance with the health needs of the population/society and changing patterns of disease and illness including wound care 
• Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and the health and safety of others in the workplace and comply with relevant Calvary WHS policies, procedures, work instructions and requests

About You

• AHPRA Registration and current First Aid Certificate
• Recent nursing/clinical experience in the last 5 years or evidence of a refresher course
• Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Initiative and the desire to continually improve client care
• Valid Australian Drivers Licence
• Capability to prioritise tasks and achieve goals within set timeframes
• Candidates with an understanding of the community nursing sector - Home Care Packages, Department of Veteran Affairs and Commonwealth Home Support Program will be considered favourably
