About the role
 
The Social Work Team Leader CCH is responsible for the professional leadership, guidance and line management of the Calvary Community Health Social Work Team.  This position will provide clinical supervision and support to Level 1/2 CCH social workers in relation to clinical standards of practice and service delivery. 
 
The Team Leader is responsible for the provision of an effective clinical service within their clinical caseload. They will demonstrate advanced reasoning skills and will be responsible for providing high level consultancy to staff within Calvary Health Care on relevant professional matters. Although the team leader is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of social work at CCH, they may be asked to support other areas of the organisation in response to service demand.
 
This position will assist the Calvary Social Work Head of Department in managing and directing the delivery of services, clinical redesign, and human resources management

 

About you
 
  • Qualifications in accordance with Sub-Schedule A of the NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Professional and Associated Staff Agreement 2022 for Social Worker and eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers including demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Extensive post graduate social work clinical experience in a health care setting with demonstrated expertise in aged care
  • Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation skills along with a high level of computer literacy
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate workplace change 
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes while applying evidence-based practice to enhance clinical outcomes within the designated area. 
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level guidance, leadership, and strategic management of staff, resources, and services, with a strong focus on building team capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Current Class C driver’s licence
  • Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
