  • Salary Classification: Social Worker Level 3 (year 1-2)
  • Remuneration: $58.95 - $60.86 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join our dedicated team at Calvary Mater Newcastle. In this senior role, you will deliver high-quality clinical services, work closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff and help shape the future of social work services within a compassionate and values-driven healthcare environment.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor of Social Work or other equivalent qualification and eligible for membership of the AASW
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in psychosocial theory and assessment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with patients and their carers with at times of crisis and those with life-limiting and/ or terminal illnesses, including at end of life
  • Demonstrated experience in a hospital setting and ability to undertake high level assessment and brief intervention skills within this setting
  • Demonstrated advanced organisational, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide staff supervision and demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development
