Care Support Worker Laundry - Casual Position

About the role

The Support Worker – Laundry will support the delivery of a safe and clean laundry service for residents in alignment with appropriate standards.

Calvary Ryde Retirement Community is a friendly, close-knit community and home to residents of many cultures and backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
  • Collects, sorts, washes, dries, sorts and distributes clothing and linen as per laundry instructions.
  • Ensures adequate stocks of clean linen, towels and laundry skip bags are available in the designated storage areas in the home.

About you

  • Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
  • Knowledge and experience in safe chemical handling (desirable)
  • Commercial laundry experience (desirable)
  • Experience in Aged Care (desirable)
