About the role

Calvary Launceston is seeking motivated and reliable Theatre Technicians to join our perioperative team across St Vincent’s and St Luke’s Hospitals.

This role supports the safe and efficient operation of our theatre suites through equipment preparation, patient handling, theatre turnaround and technical support to the multidisciplinary team. Opportunities are available for Full Time, Part Time and Casual positions, with shifts worked across weekdays and on-call/after-hours requirements as rostered.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative perioperative environment with structured training, ongoing development and the opportunity to complete the Calvary Launceston Theatre Technician Skill Development Program.

Your main duties will include:

  • Prepare operating theatres and specialised equipment for surgery
  • Assist with patient transfers, positioning and theatre support
  • Maintain infection control, stock and equipment standards

About you

  • Experience in theatre or perioperative environments
  • Certificate III Health Services Assistance desirable
  • Knowledge of infection control and safe manual handling
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work across a rotating roster
