About the role
As a Travelling Registered Nurse - Acute Care, you will deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care within regional Calvary acute hospitals, working alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams.
We are looking for nurses across a range of specialty areas, and placements will vary depending on your experience and site needs. This includes:
- Emergency
- Intensive Care
- Perioperative Services
- Surgical
- Haematology/Oncology
- Midwifery
Key responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments and acute care delivery
- Care planning, implementing and evaluating acute patient care
- Contributing to discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Providing accurate, timely clinical documentation
- Communicating effectively with patients, families and care teams
- Practising in accordance with legislation, policies and professional standards
- Respecting patient values, cultural needs and confidentiality
About you
You are a Registered Nurse who is adaptable, clinically confident, and enjoys variety and regional living.
Essential criteria:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Full working rights in Australia
- Recent acute care hospital experience
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new environments
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work away from home
- Commitment to patient safety, professional standards and teamwork
- COVID-19 immunisation (unless medically exempt)
Locations
Placements available across NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, and SA, including regional, coastal, and metropolitan sites.
