We are seeking a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) to join our Emergency Department with a difference. As a VMO you will be responsible for the provision of safe, effective and appropriate patient centred medical care in a team based emergency department. At Calvary Mater Newcastle, the main point of difference for our emergency department is specialised focus on general medicine, oncology and haematology, palliative care, psychiatric and clinical toxicology presentations.

About You:
- A Primary Medical Degree registrable by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Australian College of Emergency Medicine
- Demonstrated experience in Emergency Medicine
- Demonstrated capacity for clinical leadership
- Understanding of the principles of clinical governance to promote quality and safety in health care with experience in and commitment to evidence based best practice
