About the role

We have an opportunity available for a customer focused applicant to join our team as a Ward Clerk in our Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will have proven organisational skills, exceptional time management with the ability to prioritise own workload to achieve quality service outcomes.

Your main duties will include:

  • Patient admissions and discharges
  • Data Entry using IPM software
  • Maintain accurate and effective record management systems – ANZICS data
  • Health fund eligibility check, retrieve and prepare notes for fast track admissions
  • Collation and preparation of case notes
  • Maintain On Call Rosters
  • Typing of Meeting Minutes and Agendas
  • Maintain Billing & Admission Data Spreadsheet

Essential Criteria

  • Previous administrative experience working in a health care setting
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work in close proximity to Medical Scenarios
