About the role
 
The ward clerk in DOSA is responsible for welcoming patients on arrival for their planned surgery or Pre-Admission appointments.  Working closely with the wider healthcare team, you will help deliver a high standard of service to patients and visitors. The role includes preparing medical records, managing patient flow through the waiting room, and providing support to nursing staff as required.
This position works 0630-2.30 Monday-Friday
 
Your main duties will include:
  • Preparing and managing patient medical records
  • Managing patient flow through the waiting room
  • Providing a high level of customer service to patients and visitors
  • supporting nursing staff with clerical and administrative duties
About you
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
  • Self motivated with a strong organisational work ethic
  • License, certificate, degree,
  • Experience (avoid ‘years’)
