About the role
 
This is a support role that provides assistance to Nursing and other staff in Wards or Theatres also supporting other staff within Calvary John James with a scope of duties that encompasses transfers of patients, equipment, soiled linen and waste, cleaning and limited duties associated with the care of patients under direction from Nursing staff. This position may also be required to undertake the securing and opening of the Hospital under direction of the After Hours Nurse Manager.
 
About you
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to identify concerns when communicating with others.
  • Ability to work as an effective member of the team and under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work demands.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Wardsperson in applying these principles.
  • Commitment to the delivery of safe, compassionate and patient centred care
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
