As a Workforce Planning Officer, you will play a critical role in shaping workforce strategy, influencing business decisions through data insights, and driving best-practice rostering outcomes across one of Australia’s most complex healthcare environments.
This is more than a rostering role , it’s an opportunity to partner with leaders across hospitals, aged care and home care services to improve workforce efficiency, compliance and operational performance at scale. Working closely with operational leaders, managers and administration teams, you will provide expert support in workforce planning, scheduling, compliance reporting and data analysis, helping deliver consistent and efficient rostering practices across all Calvary business streams.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Influence workforce and operational decisions through data-driven insights
- Drive improvements in rostering capability and compliance and shape workforce planning strategy across a national healthcare organisation
- Support and maintain roster administration activities in line with policies, procedures and budgeted workforce plans
- Implement and support advanced scheduling practices across multiple business streams
- Deliver structured training and support to UKG/Kronos users, including Enterprise Agreement rostering requirements and best-practice scheduling strategies
- Ensure roster compliance with Enterprise Agreements, ANACC care minute requirements and relevant regulatory standards
- Analyse and interpret workforce and rostering data to support reporting accuracy, compliance and budget outcomes
- Identify rostering issues and work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement effective solutions
- Review workforce metrics including overtime trends, shift compliance, employment terms and casual workforce utilisation
- Partner with Talent teams and operational leaders to support workforce planning and vacancy management
- Build strong collaborative relationships with managers, administration teams and senior stakeholders across Calvary
About You
You are a workforce planning or rostering professional who enjoys working in fast-paced, complex environments and can confidently engage with stakeholders across large organisations.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience using Kronos / UKG Pro or similar rostering applications
- Demonstrated experience in complex staff rostering, workforce planning or scheduling of large teams
- Experience working within large, complex environments (healthcare experience highly regarded)
- Strong workforce analytics and reporting capability
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Agreement compliance and rostering best practices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel as required
