Registered Nurse, Level 2 - Orthopaedics

• Level 2 position supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager in daily running of the theatre complex in the speciality of Orthopaedics
• Part-Time position Monday - Friday with some on call arrangements

About you:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. Provide key information about the role. You will be a registered nurse with an interest in theatre and specifically orthopaedic nursing. This is a Part-Time position Monday - Friday with some on call arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Orthopaedic speciality support to the Theatre staff and VMO's which includes problem solving, strategic thinking, consultation and escalation as appropriate. 
• Provide education and support to staff within the complex, whilst supporting your Clinical Nurse Manager in the daily running of the Theatre complex.
• As a holder of a speciality you will be a valuable resource for both the Clinical Nurse Manager and staff in the orthopaedic field

What you bring 

• Relevant experience in the Perioperative field with at least 2 years experience and an interest  in Orthopaedic surgery. 
• AHPRA Registration
• Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
