  • Salary Classification: Administration Officer Level 3, Year 1-2.
  • Remuneration: $34.46 – $35.54 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options + RDO's.

THE ROLE:

The Administration Officer is responsible for providing accurate administrative and transactional services for members of the surgical services team under the direction of a Nurse Manager. The Administration Officer will work under broad supervision but will be required to take some independent action.

The successful applicant will be responsible for data entry, scheduling and general documentation support.

DUTIES:

  • Data entry for unit rosters into relevant IT systems.
  • Assist Managers in producing reports on finance and quality indicators.
  • Schedule meetings, provide accurate record keeping and attendance notes.
  • Participate in numerical profiling, quality accreditation processes and incident management.
  • Maintaining a staff credentialing register.
  • Assisting with the replacement of staff as directed by the Managers.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Hold a certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent.
  • IPM knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships.
