About the role
The Payroll Quality Assurance Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring payroll compliance across Calvary’s enterprise agreements and awards. The position will assist with the implementation of new enterprise agreements and awards, with a focus on creating and updating new wage tables and allowances where applicable. Backpayment calculations and processing will also form a crucial component of the role. Calvary have 48 Enterprise Agreements and Awards, and some increases may require backdating.
The role will also provide strategic insights into tracking and trending data of payroll issues through a triage ticketing system, as well as reporting and monitoring key compliance issues, through the payroll internal audit process. The position will be accountable for documenting and publishing payroll processes and ensuring that effective service level procedures are created and maintained within the organisation. Reporting to the Payroll Quality Assurance Manager, the position will have a key focus on reviewing payroll processes and make recommendations for continuous improvement and automation wherever possible.
Your main duties will include:
Assist with new enterprise agreement builds, by providing system setup recommendations, compliance reviews, creation of new wage tables and allowances.
Maintain Calvary’s current wage tables, ensuring new changes and increases are applied, including backpayment calculation and processing if required.
About you
Effectively gathers information, analyses problems, makes sound judgments and develops appropriate solutions.
Applies, maintains and improves on in-depth specialist knowledge.
Comprehensive experience with Microsoft Excel and the Chris21 payroll system.
Sound oral and written communication skills, distinguished by its positive impact and use of influencing behaviours.
Minimum 5 years payroll experience.
Plans and schedules effectively and maintains strong controls and attention to detail to ensure timely delivery of services.
