Clinical Nurse Facilitator - Entry to Acute Care Program (EACP)
About the Unit
Level 3 is an acute 33 bed Surgical/Medical ward specialising in General, Bariatric, Urological, Gynaecological, Plastics/Reconstructive, and Colorectal Surgery as well as 14 Medical Beds. There is also a 4 bed Higher Observation Unit attached to the ward. Level 3 offers a wide range of learning opportunities within a supportive environment. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to facilitate nurses in transitioning into the acute Hospital setting.
About the Role:
The clinical nurse facilitator will provide education and support to four new staff members transitioning from sub-acute nursing to acute nursing through an Entry to Acute Care Program (EACP). This program will run for 6 weeks, during which the Clinical Facilitator will provide supernumerary support to the EACP members to fast track their transition into acute care. The Clinical Nurse Facilitator will work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager/s to support the EACP members.
