Clinical Nurse Specialist – Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory

Permanent Part-Time (64 hours per fortnight)
Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital in Launceston is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our dynamic Cath Lab team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse who is passionate about clinical excellence, education, and supporting staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be integral to the ongoing development and leadership of our Cath Lab nursing team. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys supporting others to grow and who leads through collaboration, expertise and initiative.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical leadership, guidance and mentorship to nursing staff, as well as student nurses and HA’s
- Delivering and coordinating education, competency development and training
- Supporting safe, evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
- Promoting a positive and professional team culture
- Contributing to workflow coordination and high-standard patient care delivery
- Ensure compliance with relevant clinical standards, policies and procedures
- Expected to act in a relieving role for Clinical Manager or clinical specialty

About you
We are looking for a clinician who brings:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Extensive experience in cardiac or peri-procedural nursing (Cath Lab experience desirable)
- Demonstrated leadership and clinical teaching capabilities
- Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
