Position Type: Permanent – Full-time / Part-time

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced CSSD Technician to join our Central Sterilising Services Department in early 2026 at Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team committed to delivering safe, high-quality sterilisation services that support patient care across the hospital.

What You’ll Do

As a CSSD Technician, you will play a key role in:

    • Providing effective and safe decontamination, sterilisation, and preparation of medical instruments and equipment
    • Ensuring compliance with AS5369 standards and best practice guidelines
    • Supporting the workflow of the CSSD through teamwork, communication, and attention to detail
    • Contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining a strong focus on patient safety

What You Bring

To be successful, you will have:

    • Certificate III in Health – Sterilising Practice for Technicians (or equivalent)
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a CSSD environment
    • Strong understanding of AS5369 standards and sterilisation processes
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Well-developed planning, organisational, and analytical abilities
    • Strong computer literacy skills
