Calvary Launceston is currently embarking on an exciting period of change and innovation with the implementation of state-of-the-art portable operating theatres, a first for Tasmania! We are looking for a ward clerk to support our operating theatre during this exciting period.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide reception and administrative support for Theatre services, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain and update Master and Live Theatre schedules, including iPM entries and VMO leave
- Communicate weekly and ad-hoc theatre availability to VMOs and Practice Managers
- Perform data entry across hospital systems (iPM, Pulse, RiskMan)
- Manage incoming calls, mail, and general correspondence, ensuring timely redirection and follow-up
- Liaise with Radiology and other departments regarding theatre equipment and booking requirements
- Prepare invoices for VMO practices hiring Calvary equipment
- Provide general clerical support, including document preparation and stationery management
- Undertake additional administrative duties as directed by the CNS or NUM
About you:
- Experience in a similar role is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- Self-motivated with a strong organisational work ethic
