Join our newly created Cardiac Novice Program at Calvary Adelaide Hospital.
About you
The brand new Cardiac Novice Program is designed to provide structured support and education for nurses new to cardiac care. Through a combination of clinical experience, mentorship, and targeted learning opportunities, this programme aims to build foundational competence and confidence in managing cardiac patients at Calvary Adelaide Hospital Cardiac Unit.
This program is aimed at Registered and Enrolled Nurses who have at least 12 months of experience in hospital settings and have a particular interest in cardiac nursing (surgical & medical).

- Comprehensive orientation to cardiac nursing
- Support from experienced cardiac clinical nurses and educators
- Ongoing professional development sessions
- Clinical skill-building tailored to novice-level learning
- Opportunities for reflection, case discussions, and peer support
What you bring
- Passionate about pursuing a career in cardiac nursing
- Have at the least have 12 months Acute Nursing experience
- Eager to expand their clinical expertise and become a cardiac nurse leader
- Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
- Ready to take the next step in their professional development
- AHPRA Registration with no restrictions
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- commitment to working within a collaborative, respectful team environment
- Ability to work all shifts over a 7 day roster

- You will be required to provide evidence of immunisation as required for your role including tuberculosis screening, hepatitis, diphtheria, tetanus, varicella
