We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Haematology and Oncology team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work with a skilled and supportive team, providing exceptional care to patients receiving chemotherapy and haematology treatments.
We offer a variety of permanent, part-time, and fixed-term contracts to fit your lifestyle, along with extensive training and development opportunities. You will gain skills in managing CVADs, administering cytotoxics, immunotherapy, and blood products, with guidance from our specialised Oncology Educator.
- Provide evidence-based, direct patient care to patients receiving chemotherapy and haematology treatments
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
- Participate in staff and patient education programs to enhance knowledge and skills
- Contribute to a collaborative and respectful team environment, promoting positive outcomes for patients and colleagues
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Recent acute care experience in Oncology/Haematology ward nursing is preferred
- Post-graduate qualification in Oncology is highly desirable but not essential
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to think critically and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment
