About you

The Dual Registered Nurse and Midwife is responsible for the providing safe, effective and appropriate care in a patient-focused environment.  The role is available on a flexible basis either full time, part time or casual.

Key Responsibilities

• Practice in accordance with Calvary and relevant government health polices and procedures, the position description, code of conduct and industrial agreements.
• Giving direct care to mothers and newborns in Calvary's maternity unit
• Giving direct care to all patients on St Gerard's ward (woman's and children) and using a patient centred approach to patient assessment
• Maintaining Continuity of care for each patient

What you bring 

• Current registration with AHPRA as both a Nurse and a Midwife.
• Demonstrated recent clinical experience in a neonatal or maternity and an acute care hospital setting
• Bachelor Degree in Midwifery or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
